This article is from my dear friend Derek, who posts encouraging articles every month or so.
Last week I had a dream that Richard Dawkins and I took a bus across Africa in search of our ancestral heritage. Our cross-continent road trip took us to a mine in northern Congo where we were surrounded by shovel wielding miners. Apparently these guys didn’t realize that we all came from a rock 4.6 billion years ago and digging and blasting rocks was being so disrespectful to our ancestors. When I eventually woke up and told an evolutionist I know of our imaginary adventure, he responded with “that dream is reality, and they should show some respect.” Since I’ve been a Christian, I’ve met my fair share of those who believe that life evolved from a rock. However, I sincerely believe we can help them. “We have the technology. We have the capability,” as they used to say in the 70’s TV show ‘The Six Million Dollar Man.’ We can help them get that crazy idea out of their head.
That’s not even a joke. Evolutionists believe they are monkey-men and their ancestor ultimately was a rock. See, they believe about 18-20 billion years ago, there was a big bang that exploded from nothing and produced all the matter in the universe. This is just bad science. The First Law of Thermodynamics tells us that matter cannot come from nothing and matter is definitely coming from nothing here. Then about 4.6 billion years ago the earth cooled down from a fiery ball of molten rock and developed a hard rocky crust. And then 3 billion years ago the first life formed and found a spouse and they got married, which is more bad science because life coming from non-living matter (called ‘abiogenesis’) is scientifically impossible. And this early life form slowly evolved into everything we see today. That’s the evolution theory in a nutshell. Yes, they believe they came from a rock.
“Space and time both started at the Big Bang and therefore there was NOTHING before it.” — Astronomy Department at Cornell University
“The universe burst into something from absolutely nothing – zero, nada.” — Discover Magazine
“The fact that life evolved out of nearly NOTHING, some 10 billion years after the universe evolved out of LITERALLY NOTHING is a fact…” — Richard Dawkins
So let me summarize that for you Jericho-Road readers out there. Evolutionists believe that the material (glass, plastic, metal, circuit board components) to make your hand-held device or computer, however you’re reading this right now, came from nothing. They call that science, but LOL if you think a bowling ball can arise from nothing, let alone all the temperature in the sun, all the energy in the stars, all the laws governing the universe, not to mention all life. They call life coming from non-life ‘abiogenesis.’ Sounds impressive, but it’s really not. Abiogenesis is the evolutionary theory that life came from non-living matter, but it’s a belief. It’s not science. One of great scientists Louis Pasteur disproved this in the 1800’s. He showed life can only come from life (biogenesis). So the next time you hear the word ‘science’ and ‘evolution’ in the same sentence, you’ll know not to fall for it.
Is there an overarching point to this entire article ? Yes, there is. Basically what we’re trying to tell you is that the evolutionists are exhibiting a lack of respect by driving on the highway over their ancestors. Just kidding, that’s not the point of the article. The entire purpose of this article is that all life forms did not evolve from a rock, which came from a big bang, which came from nothing. If that’s not stupid, I don’t know what is. It’s obvious somebody made the world and the Bible begins with, “In the beginning.” That’s God creating time. He created time, space, and matter. That’s why the opening verse of the Bible says, “In the beginning (there’s time) God created the heaven (there’s space) and the earth (there’s matter)” (Genesis 1:1). Btw, they have to come into existence in that order. You need time first, and then you can have space to put the matter in. It’s an amazing verse.
Folks, Jesus spoke of those unwilling to come to Him, even if it meant they would have eternal life in Heaven. Jesus said in John 5:40, “And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life.” Some people reject God and believe in evolution to be politically correct. Some don’t want God because it affects their lifestyle. Others simply hate Him because they have too much pride and won’t admit they’re wrong. I could go on, but we know from creation that there was a Creator. It’s obvious and God is “not willing that any should perish” (Peter 3:9). God wants everybody saved. So to all my brothers and sisters in Christ let’s keep sharing the truth. We have the technology aka the gospel of Christ. And the ‘exit question’ is obvious for the evolutionist: When will you transfer your faith from a rock to Jesus ? Check out the extraordinary clip below and thank you for reading this. ~ Derek
