Pastor Alph Lukau – False Prophet

Our main mission as Christians is to spread the gospel of peace (Romans 10:15, Ephesians 6:15) all across the globe to save souls from hell. This was Christ’s great commission:

“And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. 19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20 teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” (Matthew 28:18-20, King James Bible)

As it is written, the core concern of God is the salvation of as many people as possible:
“For God is my King of old, working salvation in the midst of the earth.” (Psalm 74:12)

I have some very real concerns about the ministry of Pastor Alph Lukau. In short, it resembles the Toronto Blessing, which was a supposed outpouring of the Holy Spirit on the people of the Toronto Airport Christian Fellowship Church:

And this article also raises concerns about Pastor Alph Lukau:

My notes:
While Pastor Lukau spoke much about “healing, deliverance and breakthrough”, he said nothing about saving people’s souls by preaching the Word of God, the gospel. It was also a large gathering of people in his church, which made me wonder. Christ never said His followers would be popular. Instead He said the opposite, calling them a “little flock”:

“Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.” (Luke 12:32)

“Woe unto you, when all men shall speak well of you! for so did their fathers to the false prophets.” (Luke 6:26)

“Then said one unto him, Lord, are there few that be saved? And he said unto them, 24 Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able. 25 When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are: 26 then shall ye begin to say, We have eaten and drunk in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets. 27 But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity. 28 There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and you yourselves thrust out.” (Luke 13:23-28)

There was much attention made about the “power” of the Holy Spirit, yet nothing about the truth. Pastor Lukau said forcibly, on several occasions, to people, “Take it!” (as though he needed to overcome the person’s will or possible resistance – why would this be the case if he was truly of God).

On one of the videos too, at around 40:32, Pastor Alph exalted himself, saying that people of “our kind” are not known in the earth. The scriptures warn against this self exaltation and pride, as it was the reason the devil fell from heaven:

“For whosoever exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.” (Luke 14:11)

Pride is also the key characteristic of the AntiChrist, who will be possessed by Satan Himself:
“who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.” (2 Thessalonians 2:4)

I care about you and I hope to see you in heaven one day. The advice I would give to you is straight from scripture. Repent and follow Christ, forsaking utterly such false teachers as Pastor Alph Lukau:

“Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.” (Revelation 2:5)

Read your bible intensely every day (Our Daily Bread, odb.org, is a great start), and make it your only standard for all matters of faith and practice. As you become more familiar with what the Bible teaches, and as you seek to ever more live it out in your life, people who are not walking according to the scriptures will appear false to you and you will shun them.

Your friend in Christ,
Naomi
